-
The Income Generating Strategies and Plans could be viable options for poverty reduction of the Buffer Zone communities of the two mountain Parks (Rara and Khaptad) whose revenue is almost non-existent.
-
These strategies and plans could prove to be worth replicating in other non or low revenue generating Parks and Reserves.
-
Special Target Groups would be identified and the dependency of the local communities on Protected Area resources would be determined which would serve as guidance for designing future programmes and the special areas to be focused upon to bring about desired results.
-
Buffer Zone community forest mapping of the five Terai Protected Areas will help in the preparation of the community forest operation plans for handover process to users.
