Wetlands
(CSUWN) |
|
CSUWN is a joint undertaking of the Ministry
of Forests and Soil Conservation (MFSC), Global Environmental
Facility (GEF), and the United Nations Development Program
(UNDP). The Project is executed by MFSC and IUCN Nepal will
provide technical assistance to the project. CSUWN aims to
build the capacity, legal and policy frameworks (both related
to conservation and development) for an ecosystem management
for wetlands conservation and sustainable use. Partnerships
and capacity will be developed at both national and local
levels to effect long term changes to the perception, value,
and sustainable management of wetlands in Nepal and to ensure
sustainability and replication of activities even after the
cessation of the project.
